Pestilence
January 13, 2003 at 3:18:02 PM

I've made a picture which I call Pestilence. It's very... red. I think the glowing eyes turned out rather well, the rest is questionable. Like it? Let me know.

PHP
January 11, 2003 at 10:35:00 PM

Every time I open up one of my pages to edit it, I become more enamored with PHP. It's fantastic and more than a little bit amazing what you can do when coupling PHP with SQL. In other news: how am I going to pay for college? Well... I don't know. I was considering doing something like Chris and Luke and trying to get corporate sponsorship. That might be kinda cool. I don't know who would do it, though. Unless you're a corporation... who would like to sponsor me... then you may get in contact with me.

Back in school
January 8, 2003 at 11:05:18 PM

I started school again today. It's ugly and smelly. Literally: I opened the door and was hit with a blast of that all-too-familiar "school stench". But I've got a nice big two-hour-plus break in the middle, which is nice. *shrugs* Oh well. I'm still (sorta) cooking on that new design I talked about. It kinda got shoved aside for my "scrap the whole backend and start over with a completely different system" project. Which, don't get me wrong, is extremely exciting. I'm just kinda glad to have it done with. *does a dance* I just cut off most of my hair. It was long enough to fall into my eyes and now it's long enough to be about a half inch long if it stretches. And now? To bed. I've got school tomorrow. And Lord knows we must be rested up to get a good education to show the taxpayers that their tax dollars are doing something...

SQL and PHP
January 7, 2003 at 2:08:37 PM

Woo woo woo!! WAAAHOOOOOO!!! This is probably the longest, most arduous project I've undertaken to date. Worse yet than when I undertook SSI. But I've done it: I set my website up to use SQL, which of course required PHP. You're probably thinking about how awful it would be to have to post my messages using the command line SQL client. And I'd say you're right. But I also wrote myself a post entry page which makes things utterly easy. I love it, especially now that I'm finally done.

New design (in process)
December 31, 1969 at 4:17:00 PM

I started on that new design that you've been expecting from me. It's the first layout I'll be designing for 1024x768, instead of 800x600, like I normally do. I honestly hope that no one out there is left running at that low of a resolution. If you are, you either need to up it or buy a new monitor. I'm sorta kickin' around the idea of having a bunch of different layouts randomly rotating throughout the day. Or possibly randomly chosen when you enter the site. That could be exciting, you'll never know what my site looks like. The other idea I'm playing with is setting up an SQL database to archive my posts with. Unfortunately, this requires that I learn/implement SQL. Which is okay, it's just (likely) a long process. By the way, if you don't own WarCraft 3, you need to go buy it. Immediately.

New Year
January 3, 2003 at 12:43:00 AM

Well, it's a new year. (Humans have this habit of stating the obvious...) Some might consider that ripe time for a new design, what with the break and all the free time. But, NAY! I say to you. It is not time for such a thing. What is it time for? you ask. It's time for me to go do something else.

About A Guy
December 19, 2002 at 10:06:00 PM

So I've got this poem. In my head, it sounds like Cake, you know, with the kinda monotone-ish talking and the fast pace. It's called About A Guy. Take a look and tell me what you think. Because no one ever does.

Keydom website
November 26, 2002 at 4:38:00 PM

After Noise for the Needy, Keydom (one of the bands that played there) asked me to design a website for them. Woo! So I did, and it's all implemented and everything on over at keydom.mine.nu. I asked my friend what he thought of the design, and he said, "It's so you, it's unimaginable." Hrm.. and I suppose it is very much me. Ahh well. Keydom seemed to be happy with it.

CAD-NftN

Wow, I haven't posted anything for nearly a month. That's pretty awful. I guess I've been trying to deal with getting back into the swing of school. Anyway, last night at school we had a concert with a couple of the local bands playing. Proceeds went to the homeless, so we called it "Noise for the Needy". Between bands, we auctioned off popular people for dates. But the buying price was in cans, so it was "Can-a-Date". Heh. Heh heh. Hrm...

Anywho, we had two projectors set up to broadcast a live video of the performances on the walls of the auditorium. And man, those screens were like fifteen/twenty feet across. This picture was put on the screens before the show and between acts, when the live video wasn't up.

Thanatos
October 15, 2002 at 10:30:00 PM

I wrote a new... well, I suppose you could call it a short story, but only in the looser sense of the word.. anyway, I wrote it, and it's entitled Thanatos. Thanatos, for the uninitiated, is the personification or philosophical sense of Death. Don't worry, it's nothing heavy. It's actually rather lighthearted. Go ahead and read it, I think you'll like it. Of course, I think you'll like most things. Am I right? I don't know. No one ever seems to contact me to tell me. Maybe you should give it a thought. That URL again is right here.
