About
About me. Well, I'm 19 and am attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Want to know more? You can ask me.
About the site. As Seen Through the Storm has been online since March of 2001 or so. I've been doing web design, in various forms, since I was like,
11. I didn't really begin to get any good at it until probably about a two years ago. My first site was just a general one about myself and sucked.
My second site was (I think) one about StarCraft. And I think I eventually moved on to
Age One. That sucked, so I went on to Age Two.
I liked that one pretty well but it got old and I moved on to Age Three. That one never really
jived with me, although it was actually pretty cool. I moved on to Age Four and promptly outgrew the server I was leeching off of. I began to host the
site myself. Once that happened I began to get interested in server side includes and implemented those. Somewhere during Age Four I actually had two different
sites up, one during the daytime and one during the night. That was interesting. I liked Age Four, but again it got old and I moved to Age Five, which again
was pretty cool but it got old. I moved from SSI to PHP/MySQL during Age Five. Age Six was the first design I did for 1024x768 instead of 800x600, so I decided to leave Age Five up concurrently with Six.

Writings
- About A Guy - A short poem about a
guy (really?) who breaks out of his cage.
- Thanatos - A somewhat lighthearted look at the personification
of Death.
- Sleep With the
Trance - Poem
about how people don't like you if you show a bit of deep emotion, true
self, or intense thought.
- Normalcy - I
can't explain this, and it doesn't make a whole lotta sense. It's
about the mind and body.
- Light Pulls - I think I
was feeling bad when I wrote this and so I made something happy and
uplifting.
- Weird
Dream - This started as an excercise in
description but turned into something else, I'm not sure what.
- The Evil - A poem which
is also featured on On
Short Notice - Wrote this for school
in, I think, 8th grade. In it, Richad goes on a mission for his
kingdom.
- The Odyssey of Jo-Jo - Wrote this for Water for the Blind. In it, you
follow Jo-Jo as he goes on a Quest for Attention.
- Pants - A play for school about pants...
of DOOM!
- Impossible Room - Based on a terrifying dream I had.
Archives
Sites I like

- Water for the Blind- A weblog. They've got some pretty funny posts.
- Sluggy Freelance- Great comic. Check them out.
- Stimulus- Stimulate your mind.

- After Y2k- A comic strip about life for geeks after the Y2K bug hits.
- User Friendly- A comic strip about geeks working for an ISP. This runs a very close second with Sluggy. They also have close to four years worth of strips.
- Zeek- Comic strip about... some people... who are in college... and... yeah.
- Penny Arcade- Comic strip about some people who are heavily into gaming and associated rubbish. Hilarious. To the max.
- 8-Bit Theatre- Comic strip about Final Fantasy, made using the sprites from the NES. Woo!
- CheesyMUD- A MUD that I play regularly.
- Voelker Research- Where I work! It's a Macintosh service/sales/training center.
